“O” rings

“O” rings are widely used in sealing techniques because of their simple shape, high sealing capability and an easy to use procedure. The sealing function is achieved by mechanical deformation of the “O” ring which is situated inside of a special bed of the element to be sealed. The usage of the “O” rings can be static and dynamic. They are manufactured according to the DIN 3770 standard.

The materials which are used to produce the “O” rings are:

  • Acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR)
  • Silicon (MVQ)
  • Flour (FPM)
  • Polychloroprene (CR)
  • Ethylene-propylene-diene (EPDM)
